Our team now includes Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) trained professionals with lived experience in recovery who use that experience to support, guide, and empower others.
CPSS walk alongside students as they navigate their own recovery journeys, offering nonjudgmental support, sharing practical tools, and helping students build personalized goals rooted in their strengths.
They assist with connecting students to campus and community resources, strengthening recovery skills, and fostering a sense of belonging. Through one-on-one support, mentorship, and advocacy, CPSS helps students turn lived experience into growth, providing real-world insight, meaningful connection, and hope in action.
Students interested in connecting with a CPSS or learning more about peer support services are encouraged to reach out to our team at SRP@UNCG.EDU
