Counseling Services: Outreach

 

Working in partnership with our community to create a culture of care at UNC Greensboro, The Counseling Center provides outreach presentations on topics related to emotional and interpersonal well-being. From across the campus community, we also provide consultation and a supportive presence at campus events ranging from SOAR to various vigils and memorials.
We require a minimum of two weeks notice for outreach requests. Topics of available outreach events are listed below. Please submit the Outreach Request Form and the Outreach Coordinator will contact you to confirm and discuss your request. We thank you for your interest in collaboration with The Counseling Center.

    An overview of Counseling Center services available to students, how to access services and the importance of taking care of their mental health.

  • “What’s the 411?”: An Overview of Alcohol and Other Drug Use

    This presentation is a brief overview of the effects of alcohol use and other common drugs. Students will be able to identify common drugs of abuse, along with their side effects of use, recognize warning signs of intoxication and overdose, identify signs of dependency and discuss methods for prevention and harm reduction.
