Jamie Stephens

Jamie Lee Stephens

Jamie Stephens joined the UNCG Office of Health Promotion staff in 2012, and serves as the Coordinator for Outreach and Peer Education. Her areas of interest include mental health awareness, stigma reduction, and suicide prevention. A two-time alumna of UNCG, Jamie graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Political Science in 2005, and received a Master’s Degree in Public Health Education in 2009.

Prior to her employment at UNCG, Jamie served as director of programs, and subsequently as interim executive director of the Mental Health Association in Greensboro. As executive director, she was a graduate of the inaugural Board Development Academy through the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium. In addition to her time in the nonprofit sector, Jamie worked at Cone Health and the
Greensboro Area Health Education Center. Jamie has served on the Cone Health Foundation Mental Health and Substance Abuse Committee, Friends Helping Friends Advisory Committee, and currently serves on the Human Rights Committee for Hillcrest House.
