Who is conducting the Healthy Body Image research initiative?

Researchers at Washington University St. Louis and Standford University are receiving funding from The National Institute of Health (NIH) to conduct this study.  The aim is to determine if an internet based program is effective in reducing eating disorder risk factors and the onset of eating disorders in college students.  Previous studies have shown reduced concerns about eating, weight, and shape in women.  UNCG has agreed to offer the Healthy Body Image survey to it’s students.

Who is able to take the survey and receive it’s benefits?

Undergradate students between the ages of 18 and 30 years are eligible to participate in this study.

What will happen during the study?

During this 5-minute survey, you will be asked about your weight and shape concerns, psychological health, eating behaviors and attitudes, emotional regulation, and coping skills.
