The Counseling & Testing Center seeks to reach out to the university community through programs and presentations on a variety of mental health topics designed to promote a positive mental health environment on our campus, in addition to providing consultation services and maintaining collaborative and liaison relationships with the university’s faculty and staff. We seek to promote and develop a psychologically-minded campus climate of acceptance and honesty, where students have the greatest likelihood of getting their psychological and social needs met, within a connected community in which we take care of ourselves and those around us.
Our staff is available to conduct presentations to facilitate students’ life skills development and mental health. Outreach Workshops on a variety of topics can be scheduled by logging on to http://shs.uncg.edu/wellness/programs/, or by calling The Counseling & Testing Center or The Wellness Center.
In addition, CTC staff provides consultation with administrators, faculty/staff, and parents regarding mental health, developmental and situational concerns impacting college students. Please feel free to contact us if we can be of assistance.
CTC office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please call or stop by our office for further information.
